Recommended Lipsticks

Hello Everyone! I hope you are all well! Before I start my blog post, I just want to say a massive thank you to all the support I have had for my Blog and my YouTube. I'm going to leave my latest video at the end of this post, so if you could check it out that would be a huge help and I will love you forever!

Anyway, to my actual post!

Maybelline Lip Drama

You may know these lipsticks, as I think I mention them a lot in my comparisons! But I am in love with these! They are easily applied because they are pencil shaped and the colours are amazing. You may be different to me and hate matte coloured lipsticks, because I know some of you prefer shiny lipsticks, but these are the most matte colours I could find and I'm just in love!

The only down side to these lipsticks are that because they are pencils, they need sharpening. Luckily, I already had a chunky sharpener, but if you don't, then these won't be much good for you!

Kate Moss Lipsticks

I only have one shade of these, and I already love it! It stays on my lips and I like the actual feel of it. I highly recommend these lipsticks. I have number 38, which is a kind of light, almost salmon colour, and I use that most days. But all the colours look nice. They are shiny lipsticks, not massively so, but they aren't as matte as the Maybelline Colour Drama. 

One possible problem these have is that I find that the lipstick collects on the inside of your lip. And it isn't just me who this happens to. This has only happened to me three times, but it is embarrassing when you have a thick, pink line on your inner lip and you don't realise. 

L'Oreal Glam Shine Gloss

 I'm not mad into gloss at the moment, but this gloss is beautiful. It makes my lips look fuller, and
I literally have the thinnest lips! It has a slight sparkle to it. I wouldn't wear this on a day to day basis, as I think it looks like a night gloss. For a night out, it would definitely look good!

My problem with this gloss is that it doesn't last too long. Because it's a wet gloss, if I have a drink, most of it comes off. Not all of it comes off, but most of it does. So unless you are a camel who doesn't drink a lot, then this isn't for you!

Nails Inc Glitter or Galaxy

Hey guys! So today I'm going to do a post on NAIL VARNISH! Because I love it so much! So I'm doing something I have never done before, and I don't know if it will work so we will see! I'm comparing two varnishes from the SAME BRAND?! I know what you're thinking, wow! It's Nails Inc Glitter Special Effect and Nails Inc Galaxy Effect!

Anyway, on with the blog! 

Higher or Lower?

After checking the price, the Glitter (which is actually called 3D Glitter if you wanted to buy it) Varnish is £5.99. But some are more, being £7.99 for colours like silver. The Galaxy one however is £4.80. But in silver it a whopping £12.00! 

So for this, I'm going to say Galaxy is the most expensive. And I know that if you get a colour it is cheaper, but from £4.80 to £12.00, that's expense!

Lovely Looking or Worth Nothing?

This is a test of usage. So with the 3D Glitter, I do like this varnish. It has got lots of sparkles in, and I know this can be a problem as some cheap varnishes seem to have lots of sparkles and when it's on your nail, like 2 sparkles are there! But this is probably the best sparkly varnish I have ever used! The problems are that because it's 3D Glitter, the glitter makes a rough surface on your nail. This might not be a problem for some people, but I find it gets stuck with bits of fluff. 

The Galaxy varnish is excellent! It makes such a cool effect on nails. It makes a shimmer of a certain colour, mine makes a blue shimmer, and has sparkles on as well. This isn't as many sparkles as the 3D Glitter, but it's okay because it looks amazing with the shimmer! The only problem I have had with this product is that if the bottle isn't shaken before usage, then the shimmer and sparkles don't look as good. And sometimes I will paint one hand and then realise so one hand looks amazing and the other looks adequate. 

So for overall usage, I'm going to say Galaxy is better! Sorry Glitter! :P

Popular or Dropular?

For this I see how many reviews each has. Good or bad, people still bought the product, so it must be popular!

So the Glitter has 2 reviews... 1 of which was bad....

And the Galaxy has no reviews...Oh wait no, it has 1 now... 

So this is really poor... I was going to say which won, but I don't really think that any should win. Yes, the Glitter should technically win, but it won by 1 review. If it has a couple more then it would win. 

WHAT DO YOU THINK?

Maybelline's or Rimmel's Lipstick

Hi guys! Hopefully by now any of you reading have watched my first YouTube video! If you haven't then you can watch it now! Yay, lucky you!

I spent a lot of time on it, even though it's only a 2 minute and 31 second video, I've been planning what I want to say and how I want to come across for weeks!

And also I want to say a quick THANK YOU for all the people who liked or commented on my video! It's so kind! It has literally put me in a good mood forever!

Anyway, let me get on with this post! So today I'm comparing two products which I use A LOT. And I'm not sure if they are what you would call 'popular' but they are still my favourite LIPSTICKS ever! So it's Rimmel's Kate Moss Lipstick - Number 38 compard with Maybelline's Colour Drama - Light It Up Shade!

Higher or Lower?

Well, when I bought the Maybelline Colour Drama, I got it in the sale for £4.00 but it is £4.99 on their website. I wouldn't call the price cheap, but it isn't expensive either.

And the Kate Moss Lipstick is £5.50. I think this is another good price for what you get. Now I know some people wouldn't care about packaging, but this liptsick definatly has the best, so maybe the extra 50p isn't that bad!

So there isn't much in it, so for the price I'm going to say these products are at 1-1!

Lovely Looking or Worth Nothing?

For these lipsticks, it depends on which look you prefer. For me I prefer a block colour (that's why both these are lipSTICKS and not lipGLOSSES!) and I think that the Maybelline product is a block colour, with hardly any shine to it. For me, that's good, for others it might not be, I don't know!

The Kate Moss Lipstick stays on longer for me. It isn't a wet lipstick as such, but sometimes (and this has only happened twice) the lipstick collects on the inside of my lip! And this is FUSTRATING! But like I said, it isn't that bad because it has only happened twice. Walking around with a pink line on the inside of your lips isn't the best look.

So for looks, I'm going to have to say that the Maybelline's Colour Drama wins!

Moving house and Starting YouTube

Hello Everybody!

I know I haven't posted in a while, but I thought I'm going to slow it down with my posts. I'm still online everyday, but I'm not going to be posting every day!

Anyway, I have some big news, as you can already see from the title!

I'm moving house!

I wrote 'big news' and not 'good news' for a reason. I'm not sure how I feel to be honest!

I'm moving from my one best friend, my boyfriend. But I am moving away from two really mean girls who seem to hate me!

So there are good things and bad things!

I'm not moving school (YAY) but it takes 15minutes longer EVERY DAY! :(

But it could be worse right?!

And also, I've been thinking about starting to do videos. I'm happy with my blog and I think I'm finally ready.

Only what should I do a video about?

I'm so scared if I'm honest. Like it's so overwhelming!

Like 2 people will probably see it, but still!

And if anyone at school found out I'd FREAK!

I think I want my first post to be a Vlog. Or maybe a Tutorial, or a 50 facts about me. Or some Dubsmashs, or a Challenge video? Or I could go with the plain old introduction to my channel?

OMG! I totally underestimated how hard this was!

Wish me luck! I'll make a blog post on my video when I've done it and uploaded it!

Can't Breathe

Hello there!

To be honest, I wasn't going to do a blog post today, but I thought I might as well seen as I wanted to be open about everything!

So today I went to the beach.

And one of my dogs, named Darcy, had really heavy breathing the whole 2 hours we were there.

So when we got home we took her straight to the vets.

And she got taken away and put onto oxygen. And by this point I had cried about 3 times (I'm really sensitive when it comes to dogs! I'm fine though now).

She had to have a sedative to calm her breathing and some steroids to open her throat up.

And we took her back home again.

The worst part of today was the hour ride back home again. It was so sad because she was looking at me like she was in pain.

The vet said she wasn't, and that it sounds worse than it actually is.

I just pray she will be better tomorrow.

What if she isn't? What if she has to have an operation?

Everyone is telling me not to worry but I have to. She's my dog and partly my responsibility.

The amount of stress she must have been through. URG, it makes me sad thinking about it, so I'm not going to.

Instead, I'm going to finish off this post with something happy!

Clinique or MAC

For todays comparison, I'm doing a specific products rather than the whole brands being compared! So I have chosen two very good lipsticks, which are highly recommened on the internet, one by Clinique and the other by MAC. So it is Chubby Stick Intense Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm- Shade Plushest Punch by Clinique and Angel Shade Lipstick by MAC.

Before you start reading, have you read my MAC or L'Oreal post yet?

Higher or Lower?

MAC's Angel Lipstick is £12.00 (£15.50 from their website) to buy from a range of different retailers. And Clinique's Lip Colour Balm is £14.50 (£17.00 from their website)! So for once MAC is cheaper! There is a sentence I never thought I'd say!

So for the price compare, MAC wins by being CHEAPER by £2.50! The prices are close though!

Lovely Looking or Worth Nothing?

So both shades of lipstick are nice, as you can see from the picture above, but what do people say they are like?

Well with MAC, 9/10 reviews are saying things like 'Highly Recommend' or 'LOVE THIS' (yes in capitals so you know they mean it). But the last comment had worry that they can only wear the shade when at their palest! And aparrently the lipstick isn't very lasting, but it is a fun, nice shade!

For Clinique, the shade 'Plushest Punch' was said to be a lovely colour but was complained to be a little dry. This is a little disappointing seen as it is meant to be an 'Intense Moisturizer'. The wear is okay, saying to last around 3-5 hours (5 is obviously if you aren't doing much eating, drinking or talking!). The shade is VERY NICE! It's really vibrant, maybe too vibrant for certain occasions, but can be used on pale skin as well as dark!

Popular or Dropular?

Sorry about the cringey title, but nothing rhymes with popular! Now I can't just type in 'Chubby Stick Intense Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm- Shade Plushest Punch' can I? So I thought I would go to see how many good/bad reviews each product has and say that whichever one has more will be crowned most popular! I went to each of the websites, MAC and Clinique and checked out how many reviews each has...

So the Chubby Stick Intense Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm- Shade Plushest Punch has 70 reviews.
And the Angel Shade Lipstick has 302 reviews!

Now this could be that the Angel Lipstick is older and therefore has more time for people to buy it and make a review, but it does have a lot of reviews!

OPI or Nails Inc

Hello everybody! I promised this post a couple days ago, so here I am, writing it! Today ~I'm comparing two very good, very similar nail polish brands, OPI and Nails Inc. Don't forget to +1 and comment which you prefer!

Higher or Lower?

Well just scrolling through Debenhams, I know OPI or Nails Inc isn't cheap! Some bottles are around £11 for OPI. And right now Nails Inc varnish has been reduced in price from £12! So both varnishes are expensive, that's evident, but both prices are so similar that it isn't clear which is cheaper.

So they are both the same price. And if you want to be very technical, then the varnishes which I looked at says that Nails Inc is more expensive.

Lovely Looking or Worth Nothing?

Through my personal experience, Nails Inc starts to chip after one day. But it may be different for other people, so if you think differently don't hesitate to comment! OPI lasts a day too for me.

I asked some other people in my house, and they said that Nails Inc lasts around 3 days for them. And OPI lasts 4 days.

So roughly, OPI lasts longer!

Popular or Dropular?

So for the popularity test, I simply went onto my Twitter and checked how many followers each brand has!

OPI has 105,481 followers
Nails Inc has 60,556 followers

Well both do have a lot of followers, but obviously OPI is more well known. And to be honest I wouldn't have guessed that one correctly. I always thought that Nails Inc was more well known.

WHAT DO YOU THINK?

Do you prefer OPI or Nails Inc! And I know this question is tough because both are so simialr, but I do really like to know what you people think is better! Personally, I prefer Nails Inc because I have more opf their polishes and use them quite a lot!

Fake Friends >:(

Sorry I haven't done the comparison I said I was going to do! It's just that something has happened!

One of my so called friends messaged me saying she wasn't going to be my friend because I am a horrible person (and I've done nothing! And that isn't like when you are in Primary School and when the teacher asks what you do you say 'I didn't even do anything', I literally didn't!).

And she has another girl to be friends with instead. And she loves this girl! This girl got her a boyfriend that she LOVES and is taking her to Blackpool which she will LOVE! So she is so in LOVE she doesn't need me anymore!

Does anyone else have a fake friend? Because I want to know how to deal with it!

Do I just let her treat me like a piece of dirt? She will come running back eventually once her boyfriend doesn't like her and she didn't end up going to Blackpool. So do I let her come back?

Answer: NO!

If she is gonna treat me like this, shouldn't I do the same!

OMFG! I honestly don't know how some people have the nerve to say stuff like that!

Lets read a little passage of which she sent me:

I've gotten myself a boyfriend that I adore and love a bestfriend called (blank because I wanna be anonymous) who I love also and she loves me too and shes the bestest friend ever...

Does that sentence even count as a sentence?

I'm so happy for her, honestly I am. This new friend she has stole a persons phone and lies continuously.

It's like she can't stop talking so she just spews up some more LIES! And I hate LIES!

MAC or L'Oreal

Which one do you think will win?! In this post these two brands are tested on the main factors of being a beauty product! Will the well known MAC win or the highly-recommended L'Oreal?

Higher or Lower?

MAC, which stands for Make-up Art Cosmetics, in my opion is very expensive! Is definately more expensive than L'Oreal, I mean it's MAC, it's pretty much known for being expensive and trendy!

So L'Oreal is cheaper, because a MAC lipstick is around £15 and L'oreal is only around £7. So if L'Oreal lipstick is less than half the price of MAC, does that mean it is less than half as good?

For MAC, their products are good, but have been said to be dry (mostly the Satin line) whereas L'Oreal offers moisture in the lipstick.

But after looking on the internet at which people prefer, most said MAC. So does this mean that people prefer the dry look and expense just so that they can say they have a MAC lipstick?

Popular or Sobular?

Which of these brands is most well known? For this question, I went to Twitter and checked up on how many followers each has!

And my my my!

MAC has 958,517
L'Oreal has 89,890

Okay, so at least we know which is more well known. This may also mean that it is trendier to follow MACcosmetics.

WHAT DO YOU THINK?

After the information above and your own experience with these brands (if you have any) which is better? My personal opinion would be that L'Oreal is better because the product they give you is cheaper and more useful, but maybe you guys like to follow all the trends and would prefer to say you are wearing MAC and people look at you like 'Wow, they're posh'.

Videos or Writing

Hello everyone!

I'm so sorry that I haven't posted earlier.

Today I have mostly been out so I haven't been able to reply.

I just wanted this post to be short and sweet because this post is strange. It isn't my first post but I'm going to treat it like that to get some things straight.

First off, I haven't started this blog in the hope of being the next big thing, because only lucky people get that.

And I'm not lucky..

But I just think that I want to try hard on this blog for me. I want to know that if I'm having a bad day I can talk on this blog and feel free.

It's amazing how I could just type away and random people can read my posts and comment to me.

Now like I said, I don't care if nobody reads this, I just want to be able to write down my thoughts. And that's pretty much why some people blog right?!

Which do people prefer, writing or videos?!

Videos right? They are quicker and more entertaining.

Well videos are hard to do. As soon as I get a video camera I will make videos and then you can watch them and be like 'hello' and then I can smile.

So videos are better...

Shoutout to the Haters

Hello! I'm doing an update today, because I'm doing an experiment for my next post and I wanted to post something, so here you are, an update!

So today I have not done massively loads. I've watched this video called 'Queens Speech' by Lady Leshurr. She pretty much raps whilst walking down a street.

To be honest, I don't see what wrong with that, but the amount of hate she got from apparently 'copying Nicki Minaj' and 'she isn't better than any of us, so stop acting like it' is ridiculous.

I don't know if it's coming across but I hate hate!

If she wants to rap about how people use instagram too much or that people show off too much, then she can do that!

I'm not saying that I think it's okay to rap about offensive things, but I just don't think hate is needed.

If you don't like something, what's the point in posting a comment saying offensive things?! Just leave the post! It isn't hard.

And if you have a nice thing to say, then by all means comment it!

Anyway, so that's my thought on that.

Now just to end, I spent some of my day with one of my friends kitty! Called Oscar!

Flawless Fishtail

This hair style is a fishtail plait. You can have them at the side or at the back (like this picture). This hairstyle looks better when you have long, dip dyed hair.

I like French Plaits becuase they are simple, but they look elegant. And I have noticed lots of people with these, so if you don't already know how to do them, then go check them out!

Maybelline or Rimmel

Which make up brand is best? I compare the most important things I think make these brands popular, and we see which wins! Also for more, check out my 'Topshop or Newlook' post I did yesterday!

Looks

Okay, so to start, I test the looks of the brands.

 

So first of all, I think that the Rimmel ad, which came up first on Google Images was a pretty good advert, and the looks of it are good. I also really like the look of Kate Moss on this, look how hot she's looking though! Haha.

 

Maybelline's ad is also very well. Personally, I think that this advert is more effective because of the colours. And I'm guessing most of you have used 'Baby Lips' before as they were really big at one point and they were the thing to have!

 

 

Prices

 

So for prices, I compared some lipsticks. I started with looking at Maybelline's Elixir lipstick in red. It was sold at Boots for £6.99. I have never used this lipstick by Maybelline but I have used others by them, one of their red lipsticks being my favourite!

 

I also checked the price of Rimmel's London Moisture Renew lipstick in red, and this was £6.49 also at Boots. Again, I haven't used this lipstick, but I have heard Zoella say that she loves the Kate Moss lipstick.

 

Popularity 

 

To compare the popularity, I go by how many followers each has on Twitter and Facebook.

 

Starting with Facebook, this is how many likes each has:

Rimmel 7,337

Maybelline 426k

 

Whoa! How has Maybelline got that many more likes?!?!

 

And on Twitter, each brand has this many followers:

Rimmel 122,065

Maybelline 435,462

 

OMG! This is crazy! And Maybelline has a different account for Brazil, New York and UK!

 

Verdict

So from my research, Maybelline is obviously a favourite online, but Rimmel is cheaper. Which one do you prefer? Comment down below! I would love to see what you guys think! And if you have any ideas as what to compare next, comment that as well!

Mint Cake?!

Hello there!

Lovely to talk to anyone who is willing to read this! Today I'm going to chat about what happened today.

So I went to Kendal. And that is the right spelling (I thought it was Kendle :P). It is so nice up there! Kendal is in the Lake District and it was just so gorgeous to spend the day there. Apparently, they have these really nice 'Mint Cakes' (which according to my Step-Mum they are famous for) but I didn't try one! :(

But I was told the mint cakes are like fudge that tastes of toothpaste (sounds beautiful ;P) actually, I'm going to show you guys a picture

 

This doesn't really look like cake does it? Well apparently it is...

 

So apart from the strange 'Mint Cake' I really did like Kendal.

 

Have any of you ever been to Kendal? Because I would like to know what the mint cake tastes like!

 

I hope you like my update, because my last 2posts have been comparisons, which take forever to do. I do love doing them but sometimes it's nice to let people know what has happened in my day!

Topshop or NewLook

Want to know which is better? Topshop or New Look. In this post I will compare prices, looks, clothing and the all around popularity of the two.

Prices

So for the comparison of prices, my approach may have not been the most accurate, but when I typed in 'Black Ribbed Crop Top' and saw the prices. Both tops looked similar, but New Look's was £5.99 whereas Topshop's was £8.00. So maybe Topshop's 'Black Ribbed Crop Top would last longer than New Looks, but as anyone who actually shops at Topshop would know, it is expensive.

Looks

So next, I looked at the overall looks of the shops.

 

 

I think both shops are similar in looks, both with the black and white colour scheme, but I do like how Topshop also has a Topman half. Personally I love this idea, I like how I could go to Topshop knowing that everything there is womens and girls. New Look is a plain looking shop. I appreciate that others may have a different view, but I think New Look just has a normal look, nothing different to distinguish it.

 

 

Popularity

Clothing is obviously the main point of both shops. Both shops have a variety of looks and choices, but which is better? Whose clothing is more popular?

How many pieces of clothing do you have from Topshop compared to Newlook?
