Rain is good

Hi,

Does anyone else want to go outside when it's dark? Or if it's raining. With fear of sounding 'basic', I do love the rain. But when it rains at night it's my favourite thing ever!

No joke, when it's raining at night, I can't go outside because my dogs will probably start barking and wake the whole house, but I stick my hand out of my window. I have one of those stupid windows that only open at the top, but I still do it so I can feel the rain. My family call me weird and they're probably right. :P

But some people hate the rain, and I just don't understand it.

Three reasons to love the rain:

- It's water falling from the sky. Water. That is usually on the ground. Magically falling from above you, from basically nowhere. Well I know about the water cycle (school has made me draw about 500 of them over the years) but it is kind of magical.

- It's refreshing. Not the big ploppy rain that soaks you, I don't mean that kind. But the fine rain that lightly showers you and doesn't drown your clothes. And, because it's cold, it's quite nice.

- It happens loads so why hate it? If you hate Mondays, it's exactly the same. Why hate something that is going to happen all the time anyway. You can't stop the rain and you can't stop Monday coming around, so just learn to see the good in it.

And the night makes it more pretty because you can't see it all falling, you can only see it falling by the lamppost light so it looks more cool. And the little ripples in the puddles can be seen better when a light is shining on it. This all sounds so artistic but honestly it just looks nice!

Next time it rains at night, I'm going to take some pictures with my camera to prove to the world that rain is nice and at night time it's even better! For now though, I will show you a picture I got from Pinterest!

When it rains, it pours.

Anyway, thank you for reading, I know this was a tad random but why not! If you enjoyed +1, I very much appreciate every single one I get.

New Start

Hi...

People usually do this whole 'new start' thing at the start of a new year or something, but me being me has obviously chosen that random date of 14th August to have a 'new start'. Classic.

You know when you're just in the mood to sort your life out and you get a huge burst of productivity? Well that's exactly what I have now.

I don't really understand why that happens, most of the time I'm content playing The Sims 4 and listening to the same songs on repeat, but I've had a sudden change and it's weird.

Five things I want to be productive about:

- Making blog posts. I just feel in the mood to type some things and the publish button is literally right there. Why not press it?

- Homework. I haven't procrastinated too much thankfully, but I could do more. And I'm not. So I really want to be productive in getting it done when I have a spare day, rather than sitting and watching YouTube or Netflix all day.

- Waking up early. It's the holidays so technically I don't have to wake up early; nobody is forcing me. But I feel so much better waking up at 8am and going on a walk with my dogs (although one of my dogs has hurt her leg and is currently hobbling around everywhere so maybe walking her is a bad idea).

- Discovering new music. I do this anyway most of the time, but I do enjoy hearing a new artist and then listening to another song of theirs, and another and before you know it you've downloaded every album and EP they've released since 2012 (this is too specific to not be true).

- Reading books- emphasis on the 's'. I love reading but getting into the right frame of mind has been hard because I'm not focused on anything. School used to do that to me automatically and since I'm not there anymore I've only read one book. It's been 24 days so far and I've accomplished one measly book. And it wasn't even that big.

Okay, I think that's about it. I'll post as often as I can. Thanks for reading (if there is anyone out there reading) and please +1 if you enjoyed- sorry I hate to be a beg!
